Hydro One & eTimeMachine--Creating Power Together
Toronto, Ontario December 2007 - Work Execution Planning (WEP) project successfully completed by Hydro One will increase productivity in executing work trough out Hydro One, eTimeMachine Played and important role in providing software and implementation support.
Providing service to 1.3 million customers, Hydro One was the first in Canada to initiate deregulation across all of Ontario.
The Work Execution Project's objective was to improve and build on existing systems and business processes. Major challenges included ability to provide a elaborate and comprehensive functionality to meet Hydro One requirements and at the same time integrate with other systems such as Primavera as well as existing applications, high volumes of data and access from remote locations.
eTimeMachine's role in the WEP system is to gather all activities and resource assignments to crews and to individuals, from Primavera and PragmaCAD, manage crews, collect progress as well as time and expense information and distribute the information to Primavera, PragmaCAD and PassPort. In this capacity, eTimeMachine carries all projects, activities, assignments and work execution information.
The result is improved workforce efficiency, automatic work order generation, use of single scheduling system, efficient and accurate timekeeping. The outcome is in the reduction of administration costs and eventually an enterprise planning platform that sups visibility of resources and work across the enterprise.
